A custom designed filter reduces the particles in the water down to 4 micron (very tiny) so the water is clear to look at. Once clear the UV bulb is used to sterilise the content.

The UV bulb operates at a frequency designed to destroy 99.9% of harmful microorganisms. When a microbe is exposed to UV it will absorb the light. This prevents the cell enzyme from understanding the DNA. Without correct DNA they can’t reproduce. If they can’t reproduce they can’t make you ill.

Pure has been tested at Loughborough University and has been proven to render 99.9% of bacteria and viruses harmless. This includes;  Bacillus anthracis , Clostridium Tetani, Dysenter bacilli, Escherichia coli, Staphy lococcus Albus, Micrococcus Candidus, Bacteiophage, Poliovirus, Hepatitis and many more.
